STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta Held an International Expert Lecture

GEMARI.ID-JAKARTA. The Midwifery study program, STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta, today held an International Expert Lecture, presenting speakers from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. This lecture discusses the issue of Complementary Care in Midwifery Services, said Dr Yocki Yuanti, SST, SPd, M.Kes, chairman of the organizing committee in Jakarta. (Thursday, 16/05/2024).

Mr Thomas Mohan Felix, Program Lead Parkway College of Nursing and Allied Health, Singapore, as a speaker who presented, Herbal Therapy in Midwifery Services.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, the purpose of holding international expert lectures is in accordance with the vision of STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta, namely producing graduates who excel in management and health services at the national and regional levels. Especially for the Bachelor of Midwifery and Midwifery Profession Study Programs, it is hoped that it will produce superior graduates in management and complementary midwifery services, she explained.

This International Lecture presented Dr Maryammah AA/P Masalamani (Lecture at Mahsa University, Malaysia), because STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta has entered into an MOU collaboration with MAHSA University, so this activity is a continuation of this collaboration. Dr Maryammah lectured on Health and Fitness during Pregnancy, Childbirth and Postpartum with Complementary care. Likewise in Singapore, we presented Mr Thomas Mohan Felix (Program Lead Parkway College of Nursing and Allied Health, Singapore) as a speaker who presented, Herbal Therapy in Midwifery Services. Speakers from Indonesia, we present Dr Melyana Nurul Widyawati, S.SiT, M.Kes, lecturer at Poltekkes, Semarang, she discusses the Legal Aspects of Complementary Therapy in Indonesia, she added.

The expert lectures delivered by these three speakers were very good, able to increase the insight of the students and lecturers of STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta, about how complementary services are in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Students are more competent and confident in providing complementary services in accordance with evidence based. STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta excels at national and regional levels and is preparing to go international level, she said. @mulyono_dp
