GEMARI.ID-CIBUBUR. Today the leadership of Sasana Tresna Werdha RIA Pembangunan (STW-RP) had guests from the Tohoku No Kaigo Social Welfare Facilities Association, Tohoku, Japan. They came to share information related to service management and care for the elderly in Indonesia and to observe the facilities and infrastructure at STW-RP. They were present accompanied by Mrs. Ani Rahayu from PT OS Selnajaya Indonesia, explained the Head of STW-RP, Ns Ibnu Abas, M.Kep, Sp.Kep. Kom to the GEMARI Team in Jakarta. Wednesday (12/06/2024).
He explained that the guests included PT Osselnajaya Indonesia, a company providing caregivers for internships in Japan. Miyagifukushikai, a company providing elderly services in Japan, Takokono Kaigo, a partner company providing caregivers in Japan and representatives of the Miagi City government.

They came to STW-RP with the aim of finding out how STW-RP as a residential service provider, provides health and social rehabilitation services for the elderly. Procedures and requirements for becoming a resident, number of residents, living costs and others as well as what services are provided, both inside and outside the building. They also want to know the trends in the needs and characteristics of elderly caregivers in Indonesia, especially in STW-RP and want to know the benefits of the caregiver internship program to Japan for elderly services in Indonesia.
Dr dr Andi Julia Rifiana, SH, M.Kes representing the Yayasan Karya Bhakti RIA Pembangunan (YKBRP) explained the profile of the social foundation founded by Mrs. Tien Soeharto which has several social units including, BPKw and PAUD/TK, STW RIA Pembangunan, and STIKes Mitra RIA Husada Jakarta. Specifically for STW-RP, she delivered a brief profile of the Rumah Lansia Bahagia (Happy Elderly House). The presence of the Happy Elderly House aims to realize the hopes of the elderly, to be able to live healthy, independent, active and productive lives in their old age. As a social institution, YKBRP through STW-RP provides financial subsidies for the elderly who live here with better services, dr Andi explained.
Head of STW-RP, Ns Ibnu Abas explained, to live in the Rumah Lansia Bahagia (Happy Elderly Home), apart from being an elderly person, it is also of one's own desire. Generally, elderly people live in this place until they die. They feel at home because there are many activities and services available. The existence of a caregiver as a nurse's assistant really helps the elderly in their efforts to meet their basic needs.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ani Rahayu hopes that in the future YKBRP, especially STW-RP, can collaborate with PT. Osselnajaya in providing, preparing and distributing caregivers to Japan. And than, Mr. Watabe, one of the guests from Japan, suggested that the management of one of the Homes for the Elderly in Japan hopes that one day Mr. Ibnu Abas and Dr Andi Julia Rifiana can visit Japan to see firsthand the services for the elderly in Japan.
